Who Are
the
The Plainview Lions are your neighbors, friends, and coworkers who
have joined together to
serve the community. We are part of the largest community service
organization in the world:
Lions Club International. We share a common vision of helping others
through various
community service activities right here in
Christmas tree pickup, Corn on the Cob Day Parade, Hwy 42 cleanup and the
Old Fashion
Christmas sleigh rides. We raise funds in order to sponsor
youth-oriented programs such as
chartering the Plainview Boy Scouts, providing academic scholarships,
sending developmentally
handicapped individuals to

vision project SightFirst. But
most importantly, we share in the camaraderie of the group and we have
FUN!! doing these
projects.

in sight conservation programs, collection of used eyeglasses for
recycling, support of training
centers for seeing eye dogs, and other vision
